Why not treat yourself to a relaxing Yin yoga and sound bath experience?
The combination of slow, relaxing Yin poses followed by a sound bath is the perfect way to release tension and create a deep sense of relaxation.
The experience will include:
A gentle floor based Yin practice, which will work your connective tissues. It will help you to look inwards and connect with your mind and body.
Candle meditation (trakaka).
An explanation of how the sound bath works and the effects of sound vibrations on the body.
The sound bath, when you will become the receiver of sound. This is practiced by lying down, relaxing and becoming still. Then becoming aware and open to each sound that you hear. The sound bath will start with a Goddess bowl (large singing bowl) being placed on your body. This is a deep experience where you will feel the vibrations of the sound on your body. This will be followed by various beautiful instruments to completely immerse you in wonderful sounds and guide you into a deep meditative state.
We will then finish with a guided visualisation and bring you back into the here and now.
This is a truly wonderful experience which will help you tune out your thoughts and into yourself, and help you to become more relaxed, balanced and focussed.
Below is a comment from a previous attendee:
“Sarah’s sound bath and Yin yoga experience on Friday night was out of this world… I slept like a baby and felt so relaxed afterwards. Would highly recommend as a stress-buster!”
What to bring…
Mats are provided, you may like to bring a blanket and an eye pillow to help you truly relax for the sound bath.
What to wear…
You will want to be comfortable and not restricted in any way. Therefore, I would suggest you wear layers to keep warm – think cosy jumpers, long sleeved tops and soft snuggly socks!
Is this for you?..
This experience is suitable for everyone. However, there are a couple of contra-indications for the sound bath to consider, if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker this session is not for you. If you are unsure then please contact me.
